I have micro shares in 20 horses and the ones that race come in the lower half of the races and the other half are in the hospital

MyRacehorse Hello Gary, thanks for writing in. Horse racing is part luck, part planning. Unfortunately, you can never plan for an injury, and we do our best by the horse to give them time off when they aren't fighting fit. A brief look at your stable shows that you have a share in the Future Stars Stable package, which is comprised of 2-year-olds. Statistically, only 35% of 2-year-olds race in their first year, so what you're experiencing is simply par for the course and a part of the game. We want all of our 2-year-olds to be successful, and they're paired with great trainers who know the sport inside out and will set them up for their best chance at long-term success. If you have further questions on your stable or any horses in particular, please reach out to our Customer Support team at support@myracehorse.com.

Very nice job with 2 of the horses I have shares in.I gave a bad review about my stable a couple weeks ago but you deserved a good one for the work done with these two

MyRacehorse Andy, thank you for your feedback! We are so very excited about how Going to Vegas and Lane Way performed. A huge congratulations to you!

Impossible to make any money. Had 2 horses end up in the money in last 2 months but didn’t make anything. This is a huge problem! Spin it how u want but I won’t be buying anymore shares. Your only hope for survival of MyRacehorse is finding new people who buy a bunch of shares right away Because once they see how it works money will buy

MyRacehorse Hi Doug, sorry to hear about your frustration. When a horse has a layoff, the reserve account for that horse depletes in accordance with the cost of rehabilitation and the lack of income due to not racing. Therefore, depending on the status of the reserve account, prize money that is won after a layoff can often go to refilling the reserve account before dividends are issued to owners. Once a horse is retired or sold, the remainder of the reserve account will be distributed to shareholders. This is all part of our model of a one-time purchase price for shares. Thanks for owning with us!

updates and 2 year olds

Would like to see 2 year olds not raced So many injuries in the ones I have got a share in I dont mind waiting to see them race ALso asked for an update on a horse that was injured and was given wrong information not given the latest update If a shareholder asks, seems the responding person needs to check their information for the latest instead of regurgitating

MyRacehorse Hello Linda, thank you for your concern. Only about 35% of 2-year-olds make it to the races in their freshman year, but training as a 2-year-old has been proven to be integral to bone development in racehorses. We have full confidence in our trainers and pre-trainers care and handling of all of our horses, and those that are ready to run will run. Injuries or setbacks are just a part of the process. We are also sorry to hear that you were given the wrong information. Occasionally a mistake will be made as we have so many horses, and we apologize for that error. We do our best and always strive for better in terms of communication with all of our owners.

Having grown up in harness racing (16yo & now 65yo) I had a career in harness racing while also learning about t'breds, I'm sorry to hear some of these comments!!! My stable is about 20 head w/more to be purchased when the SEC clears the legal issues???...this is the only way "the common man" can touch the sport "internally"! One should BE PATIENT especially w/the babies!!! 2yo starters are rare & 2yo winners a "GOD SEND"???

MyRacehorse Donald, thanks so much for your support and for being a part of the MRH family! We love the enthusiasm of all our owners and we really do appreciate the kind words.

Got to Big to Fast

I think MRH has grown to big and to fast. Updates are slow in coming now, horses are put into claiming races if they finish out of the money in 2 races and there seems to be a lack of management over the horses. There are 3 main regions, South, Northeast and West but only the West Coast really has a racing manager, and a damn good one at that. With the growth in the stables, human support has not kept up. This is just my humble opinion as an owner of 9 individual horses.

MyRacehorse Hello William, we are sorry to hear that you feel that way. We have racing managers in all major jurisdictions who do a wonderful job of managing their horses despite the number of tracks and locations that these horses are based at. We are proud of their work and of the rest of the support our team has. We do our best to provide updates as often as possible, and we continue to put in new processes weekly to improve our program. Thank you for your support and feedback, and as always, we continue to strive to do our best for all of our owners!

Not sure spendthrift has a clue. Six horses in my stable… all with issues.

MyRacehorse Hello JM, thank you for writing in to us and we are sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction. Horse racing is a game of highs and lows, and unfortunately setbacks are a part of the game. However, we do our best by the horse, so whenever there appears to be a slight change in a horse's training or temperament, we evaluate them. This helps us catch potential injuries as early as possible, and allows for the best outcome for the horse - time off and healing. Spendthrift is a leading institution in the thoroughbred industry, from breeding to racing, and we are quite confident in their ability to select and manage horses, and in our relationship with them. We have the utmost confidence in their decisions.

Great For What It Is But...

I've really enjoyed being a part of this experience.l, which otherwise I wouldn't have been able to do. compared to other options this is one that is affordable and gives you a feel of being in the game. The butt comes with how MRH markets itself in terms of making money. I don't see any way possible to offset your costs with purse distribution. The largest reward for me thus far after being involved with 10 or so horses has been $6 after a grade 3 win. so while I get to say that I am a quote owner of a Kentucky Derby winner, I can't say that I've even broken even on the investment I made in him. but I don't expect to. it's all about the experience. I just wish MRH would sell themselves that way because it's really misleading.

MyRacehorse We are happy to hear you are enjoying your experience with MyRacehorse. The concept of MyRacehorse is also based on experiential value. When you become an owner, you receive regular updates on your horse delivered right to your app/desktop. These include photos, videos and notes from trainers. You also have opportunities to visit the horse, attend on-track events, and be invited to the winner's circle for winning photos -- pending track rules. These are all exciting perks that are made possible by MyRacehorse. Even though you may only have a small portion of ownership, we do our best to create an experience that a majority owner would enjoy.
